The Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM) delegation recently embarked on a visit to the Laboratory for Manufacturing System and Automation (LMS) at the University of Patras to promote industry-academia-research cooperation with EIT Manufacturing. The meeting was held to discuss future joint projects in robotics, supported by the EU program ‘Horizon Europe’ and explore ways to collaborate under the MASTERLY project driven by the call requirements of achieving international cooperation.

A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KIMM, LMS, and EIT Manufacturing. This MOU aims to fortify collaboration among industry, academia, and research by facilitating joint research initiatives, sharing of information, and pooling of resources in the domain of manufacturing equipment. The overarching goal of this initiative has been to foster international cooperation and promote advancements in the field.
